Etihad Airways has confirmed its order for 28 Boeing wide-body aircraft with GE engines, a move that underlines accelerating momentum in its plan to double its fleet by 2030. The $14.5 billion commitment between Boeing, GE Aerospace and Etihad was signed during US President Donald Trump’s visit to Abu Dhabi on Thursday. Deliveries of the Boeing 787 and 777X jets are expected to start in 2028, a statement from the Abu Dhabi-based airline said on Friday.
