An Egyptian soldier was seriously injured following an exchange of fire between Egyptian and Israeli soldiers at the Rafah border crossing, a witness told The National. The incident was first reported by Israeli media outlets, which confirmed an exchange of fire had taken place but said no one was injured. The Egyptian military has not yet issued a statement on the incident or the condition of the injured soldier.
