Egypt has called on international delegations wishing to visit the border area near Gaza in support of Palestinian rights to secure prior approval. The Foreign Ministry gave safety concerns and sensitive security conditions as reasons for its request, as a Gaza-bound convoy travels from Algeria, through Tunisia and Libya, towards the Egyptian border. The ministry said that while Cairo welcomes the global outpouring of support for Palestinian rights, all requests must adhere to established procedures, which have been enforced since the start of the Gaza war.
