A domestic worker, who was remanded in police custody a day earlier along with prime suspect Faisal Asghar, confessed to strangling and torturing Hina Javed, a married woman found dead in her home in Rawalpindi’s Lalkurti area, police sources said. The arrested worker, identified as Zeeshan, told investigators he had been called during a marital dispute between Hina and her husband Faisal. He said Hina tried to flee during the altercation, upon which Faisal and he grabbed her. When she resisted, he pressed her throat, he confessed. Zeeshan also admitted to frequently stealing from the household.
