It emerged that at least nine people had been killed in an explosion at a petrol station in County Donegal in northwest Ireland. Authorities stated that search and rescue efforts were ongoing. A major emergency response operation involving first responders from both sides of the Irish border extended through the night and was continuing on Saturday morning. Moreover, sniffer dogs were being used amid the rubble.
