On Tuesday, Chinese foreign office spokesperson Mao Ning said that Pakistan and China agreed to work on high-quality development of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and four new corridors ‘Digital, Industrial, Green and Health’, during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Beijing earlier this month. Ning said that CPEC is a flagship project of China-Pakistan cooperation and has made tangible contributions to Pakistan’s socioeconomic development and the region’s connectivity. In recent years, both sides have continued to expand the cooperation and notable progress has been made in digital, industrial, green and health cooperation.
