On Wednesday, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa witnessed a corps level exercise in Kharian. The exercise’s final phase, which included defensive and offensive tasks for various contingencies, was witnessed by the COAS. The exercise was designed to validate operational concepts as a follow-up to army war games and to improve operational preparedness of formations.

The exercise included the use of cutting-edge weapon systems such as VT4 tanks and combat air support. The COAS hailed the participating forces’ operational readiness and professionalism.
