The Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, and the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem, Theophilos III, were allowed to visit Gaza on Friday, to offer condolences after three people were killed in an Israeli strike on a church. The visit took place after US President Donald Trump called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the incident, which has been condemned by Washington. Mr Netanyahu then issued a statement calling the incident a “mistake”.
