China said that it hoped that the International Criminal Court would be “objective” in its request to obtain arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. “It is hoped that the ICC will uphold its objective and impartial position and exercise its powers in accordance with the law,” said Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin. “The collective punishment of the Palestinian people should not be continued,” he added.
