Chinese officials called on Iranian officials to help rein in Houthi attacks on ships in the Red Sea or risk harming business relations with Beijing. The Iran-backed militia in Yemen has carried out strikes on commercial vessels due to the outbreak of the Gaza war. Discussions about the attacks and trade between China and Iran took place in Beijing and Tehran, Iranian sources said.
