Lebanon’s Prime Minister Nawaf Salam has condemned continued Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon and called them a matter of “utmost gravity”. Salam said escalations in the city of Nabatieh and villages including Ansar and Deir ez-Zahrani have been accompanied by intensive air strikes and shelling as well as “intimidation of residents in their homes”. “The seven martyrs of the Israeli air strike on the village of Ansar are not ‘military infrastructure’, nor are the children and women killed in it military targets,” he said.
