Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of India’s West Bengal state, has congratulated the people of Bangladesh on yesterday’s election and welcomed the early unofficial results, which show the BNP in the lead. “For this great victory, my congratulations to my Tarique-Bhai, his party, and all the parties,” Banerjee wrote on X. “Pray, you all be well and happy. Wish that our relations with Bangladesh be always cordial,” she added.
