As a result of celebratory gunfire on the night of the independence day in Karachi, about 27 people were seriously injured and a person died. Police reported that in Lyari, Liaquatabad, Paposh, Saddar, and Burns Road, and many other areas of Karachi, aerial firing incidents were reported. Police reported, “Among 27 persons injured in the firing, five were women and four children.”
