Mark Carney levelled the charge at the US president after his executive order slapping 25 percent tariffs on imports from Canada. Weeks ago, Carney, the former head of the Bank of Canada, formally entered the race to replace PM Trudeau as leader of the ruling Liberal Party. In a video posted on X, he said the situation “could not be more serious”. “Trump wants us to lose our cool, but that’s why Canadians need to be reunited with our response,” he added.
