The UK Maritime Trade Operations agency said it received a report of “an incident” about 180km south of Yemen’s port city of Hodeidah on Thursday. UKMTO did not identify the vessel or the nature of the incident, but commercial vessels passing Yemen through the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea have been subjected to drone and missile attacks by the country’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels.
