US President Joe Biden on Friday will oversee the return of the bodies of three American soldiers killed in a drone attack at a base in Jordan. Washington has blamed the strike on Iran-backed militants. Amid strikes between US forces and militias in Iraq and Syria, as well as exchanges with Yemen’s Houthi rebels, the three soldiers were the first American military personnel killed by hostile fire in the region. The bodies of Sgt William Jerome Rivers, Specialist Kennedy Ladon Sanders, and Specialist Breonna Alexsondria Moffett will arrive at an air force base in Dover, Delaware, where they will be received with military honours.
