Privatisation process for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) underway with six pre-qualified bidders vying for control.

The privatization process for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) began Thursday, with one of six pre-qualified bidders already submitting earnest money. Bidders include Fly Jinnah, YB Holdings, Airblue, Pak Ethanol, Arif Habib Corporation, and Blue World City. The winning bidder may acquire up to 100% of PIA’s share capital and management control, as Pakistan aims to meet IMF’s deadline.
