At least seven Israeli soldiers were killed in Rafah and northern Gaza on Saturday, marking one of the deadliest days for Israel since it began its war on Gaza. Two soldiers were killed in a tank explosion in the north of the enclave and five were killed in an attack on an armoured personnel carrier in Rafah, the Israeli army said. Hamas claimed responsibility for one of the attacks, in a statement.
