Northern Gaza’s last functioning hospital, Al Awda, said on Wednesday it had suspended all medical services due to severe shortages of fuel and supplies, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reported. The hospital in Jabalia has been under siege by the Israeli forces for 18 days. Muhammad Salha, a senior doctor at Al Awda, said the development would lead to “a complete deprivation of basic health services for citizens, especially in light of the cessation of service by all hospitals in the north”.
