Israel’s Communications Minister said a ban on Al Jazeera would come into effect immediately following the government’s approval of a vote to shut down the channel’s operations in Israel. “Too much time has passed and too many unnecessary legal hurdles for us to finally be able to stop Al Jazeera’s oiled incitement machine that harms the security of the country,” Shlomo Karhi wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “For months, I did everything and will continue to do everything so that they can no longer operate from Israel,” he said.
