Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived at the Supreme Court on Wednesday after being summoned suo motu in the Peshawar Army Public School case by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed.

In 2014, the attack on the Army Public School shook the country to its core. More than 145 people were killed in the terrorist attack on December 16, 2014, the majority of whom were school pupils.

Soon after the incident, a national agreement was reached, and the National Action Plan (NAP) was drafted to combat the country’s widespread terrorism. Of a series of campaigns, the military reclaimed control of regions in the former Fata that had become hotbeds of militant activity.
