Uzbekistan’s defense ministry in its Twitter message quoted that an Afghan military plane was shot down by the Uzbek air defense force as it violated the border. The Uzbek defense ministry also mentioned that the pilot of the Afghan military jet ejected and survived. It is reported that the jet crashed in Uzbekistan’s southernmost Surxondaryo province.
