It emerged that four people would spend one year living on a 3D-printed simulation of Mars as part of a Nasa experiment. It aimed at measuring the effects of long-duration missions on the human body and mind. The test subjects would enter near-isolation this summer under the space agency’s Crew Health and Performance Exploration Analogue study.
