Saudi halloween, once-banned holiday is now haunted by masked monsters. Only a few years ago, a Halloween party meant arrest. Now, a government-sponsored “horror weekend” means sold-out costumes and scary clowns. Saudi Boulevard was transformed into a venue-wide costume party during the “Scary Weekend” event. Moreover, dressed-up visitors were granted free entry to the Boulevard on the condition that they wore scary costumes. The world can clearly see that “Saudia is changing”, said a teenage boy.
