Stockholm: On June 10, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai said that the fight against climate change was also a fight for the right to education for girls, millions of whom lose access to schools due to climate-related events. Yousafzai was speaking outside the Swedish parliament where she joined environmental campaigners Greta Thunberg and Vanessa Nakate at one of the climate protests. “Due to climate-related events, millions of girls lose their access to schools. Events like droughts and floods impact schools directly, displacements are caused due to some of these events,” Yousafzai added.
