Istanbul: On March 7, it emerged that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba had agreed to meet at a forum in southern Turkey on Thursday. These are the first potential talks between the top envoys since Russia initiated its invasion of Ukraine. Mevlut Cavusoglu, Turkey’s foreign minister, made the announcement and said that he would attend the meeting in the resort city of Antalya. Russia’s foreign ministry has confirmed the plan.
