New Delhi: During his official visit to India, Russian President Vladimir Putin commended India as “a great power” on Monday. The traditional partners had always strengthened their military and energy ties despite Washington’s increasing courtship of the world’s largest democracy. During Putin’s talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a 10-year defense technical partnership agreement and a one-year oil contract were among the deals signed.
