On Wednesday, the lawyer for Zahir Zakir Jaffer, the main suspect in the Noor Mukadam murder case, filed a motion in an Islamabad court asking for the formation of a medical board to assess his mental health.

Advocate Sikandar Zulqarnain Saleem filed the application in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Atta Rabbani, claiming that Zahir “is suffering from severe mental ailment that needs to be determined through an authorised medical board according to the commands of legislature and local and international law.”
