In the federal capital, 1.4 million of the 1.6 million vaccine-eligible inhabitants have been partially or fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

According to official data, 90 percent of city residents have been partially vaccinated, while 75 percent have been fully immunised.

Dr Zaeem Zia, the DHO of Islamabad, told Dawn that 2.25 million doses of Covid-19 vaccination had been provided.

He noted that the city has 1.6 million vaccine-eligible residents, of whom 1.4 million have been partially or fully vaccinated and roughly 1.2 million have been fully vaccinated.
