It emerged on Wednesday that seven women from different countries had launched legal action against Qatar Airways and Qatari authorities for mistreating women during invasive searches on airports. The Qatari prime minister had issued a public apology, while the airport police officer who directed the searches was reportedly adjudged. Qatari officials declared that apologies had been conveyed through direct ways with Australia, while orders were given to airport staff to ensure the incident was not repeated.
