In the city, manufacturers of roti, naan, sheermal, and taftan have raised prices by Rs2 to Rs10 per piece, adding to consumers’ difficulties, which are already worsened by rising food prices.

“Please! “Do not argue.” This is a clear message posted in a business for clients in the Federal B. Area, near Gulberg Chowrangi. The shop’s owner stated he raised the price of chapati by Rs2 to Rs12, followed by a Rs5 increase in sheermal and taftan to Rs45, and a Rs35 increase in kulcha. He further stated that the price of naan had remained the same at Rs15 per piece.
