The US and Pakistan are engaged in a positive dialogue, according to National Security Adviser Moeed Yusuf, to remove the mistrust that has overshadowed their relations.

Pakistan does not want Afghanistan to be a safe haven for terrorist attacks against itself or others, according to US Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Colin Kahl, who told a US Senate panel earlier this week that Pakistan has “continued to give us access to Pakistani airspace and we are in conversation about keeping that access open.”
