A White House official tells our colleagues at Al Jazeera Arabic that the Trump administration is not now engaged in talks with Iran. “As President Trump said, there are no talks or discussions currently under way or scheduled with Iran,” the source who requested anonymity said. “The naval blockade remains firmly and effectively in place, the Strait of Hormuz is open, and the sea mines have been removed or destroyed,” the source added.
