Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that the global community was recognising Pakistan as a “peacemaker” for its mediating role in the Middle East conflict. Speaking on the National Assembly floor, DPM Dar recalled that Pakistan was the first country that condemned the attack on Iran. Pakistan made efforts to de-escalate tensions, he said, adding that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif remained in contact with his counterpart throughout the conflict.
