The Hadramout Tribal Alliance has issued a statement, announcing its full support for the declaration issued by the head of the presidential council, Rashad al-Alimi. It demanded the “immediate, unconditional” withdrawal of STC forces – which it accused of “criminal violations” – from the Hadramout and al-Mahra governorates. The alliance added that it held the STC and its backers responsible for the flare-up of violence and pledged to act to stop attacks by “militias from outside the province”.
