Together with its US allies, Israel is now considering alternative options to bring its hostages home, end Hamas’ rule in Gaza, and secure lasting peace for Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Friday. Hamas had earlier said it was surprised by remarks from US Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff that suggested the group lacked a desire to reach a ceasefire in Gaza.
