UN human rights chief Volker Turk on Tuesday said attacks that led to Palestinian deaths around aid distribution sites in the Gaza Strip constituted a war crime. “Deadly attacks on distraught civilians trying to access the paltry amounts of food aid in Gaza are unconscionable,” Mr Turk said. He did not assign blame and Israel has denied involvement in the killings. “For a third day running, people were killed around an aid distribution site run by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation,” Mr Turk said.
