Hamas said Israel’s decision to disconnect the only power line to a water desalination plant in Gaza’s Deir Al Balah is a war crime that could lead to a catastrophe in the enclave. “The use of water and food as weapons against innocent civilians represents a dangerous escalation in the systematic steps to deepen the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip,” the group said in a statement.
