A member of the Saudi Shura Council, Yousef bin Trad Al-Saadoun, has ridiculed US President Donald Trump’s proposal to relocate Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, instead suggesting that Israelis be relocated to Alaska and Greenland. The statement came after Trump’s remarks on transforming Gaza into “the Riviera of the Middle East” were widely condemned by Arab, European, and other countries. Al-Saadoun criticized Trump’s approach to Middle East policy, arguing that reckless decisions stem from ignoring expert advice and dismissing dialogue. He also warned that “Zionists and their allies” would fail to manipulate Saudi leadership through media pressure and political maneuvers.
