Gaza health officials said a wave of Israeli strikes hit the territory’s southern district of Khan Younis on, killing a dozen people, seven of them children. At least five strikes hit parts of Khan Younis, including one in Al Mawasi, a “safe zone” where thousands of displaced Palestinians are living in tents along the coast. Four children were killed when a drone strike hit their tent there, the Hamas-run territory’s Health Ministry reported. A witness said several tents caught fire in the strike, which wounded more than 20 people.
