Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman discussed with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi the latest developments in Syria and the Palestinian territories, including in the Gaza Strip. In a phone call on Thursday, the two sides stressed the need to guarantee preserving Syria’s integrity, work on a peaceful power handover through a political process and enhance efforts to protect civilians and combat terrorism, the Qatari Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
