Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has spoken to the family of one of six hostages found dead in Gaza overnight. He spoke to the parents of Alexander Lobanov, whose body was returned to Israel following an army operation in Rafah. All six hostages were shot in the head shortly before they were found, sources told Haaretz on Sunday. Mr Netanyahu “expressed deep sorrow and apologized to his family for the fact that the State of Israel failed to return the late Alexander and the other five abductees alive”, read a statement from his office.
