An Israeli air strike on a medical clinic in Gaza city has killed the director of the ambulance and emergency department. Hani Al Jaafarawi’s death brings the number of medical staff killed by Israel since October 7 to 500, the enclave’s Health Ministry said. At least 300 others have so far been detained. However, Israel’s military said the strike killed a senior Hamas commander, Mohammad Salah, who it said was responsible for developing the militant group’s weaponry.
