Ireland’s Foreign Minister Micheal Martin said that the attack on Rafah’s refugee camp was “barbaric”. “Gaza is a very small enclave, densely populated. One cannot bomb an area like that without shocking consequences in terms of innocent children and civilians,” he said in Brussels, alongside the Foreign Ministers of Spain and Norway. “We would urge Israel to stop, to stop now, in terms of the military operation in Rafah,” Mr Martin said.
