A UAE aid convoy consisting of 12 lorries carrying more than 264 tonnes of humanitarian aid entered the Gaza Strip through Egypt’s Rafah crossing on Wednesday, Wam news agency reported. This brings the number of UAE aid lorries that entered the Gaza Strip to 440, Wam said. The total UAE aid provided to the Palestinian people has so far reached more than 22,436 tonnes, sent via 220 cargo planes and three sea cargo ships, where they are collected in the city of Al Arish and then brought into the Gaza Strip via lorries through the Rafah crossing.
