About 8,000 displaced Gazans sheltering in the Palestine Red Crescent Society’s Al Amal Hospital have been evacuated from the complex and the adjacent PRCS headquarters after a two-week Israeli siege, the organisation said. “Only 40 elderly displaced individuals and around 80 patients and wounded, and 100 administrative and medical staff remain,” it said on X. The hospital and PRCS headquarters were surrounded by Israeli forces and shot for two weeks, forcing trapped civilians to bury dozens of people in the hospital courtyard.
