US forces have destroyed two Houthi Uncrewed Surface Vehicles (USVs) in the latest strikes against the Iran-backed militant group. “US forces identified the explosive USVs in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen and determined they presented an imminent threat to US Navy ships and merchant vessels in the region,” the US military confirmed. It said the strikes were conducted in self-defense and “will protect navigation and make international waters safer and more secure for US Navy vessels and merchant vessels”.
