Escalating Houthi attacks in the Red Sea represent a “clear danger” to seafarers and pose a greater threat to marine safety than piracy, as per a UAE expert. Capt Zarir Irani, managing director of Constellation Marine Services, a Dubai-based surveyor, said commercial vessels operating in the major trading route may have to consider “turning back”. “It’s not fair on the crew.
