Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met in Cairo for talks on the latest developments in Palestine. The two sides discussed the joint efforts to stop the Israeli aggression in Gaza, de-escalation and delivery of urgent humanitarian aid into the enclave, the Qatari Diwan said in a statement. They stressed the continuous support for the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, particularly their right to establish an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
