Egypt’s Foreign Ministry said that it was working on helping 7,000 foreigners from more than 60 countries leave the Gaza Strip through the Rafah border crossing. Ismail Khairat, Egypt’s assistant foreign minister held a meeting with ambassadors and officials from foreign embassies to brief them on the country’s efforts to open the Rafah crossing, the ministry said.
